7th China International Import Expo opens on Tuesday
The 7th China International Import Expo opened Tuesday in Shanghai. This year's expo, the seventh edition held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10, features the debut of more than 400 representative new products, technologies and services across a wide range of cutting-edge sectors, including high-end equipment, advanced materials, marine engineering, biotechnology and innovative agricultural technologies.

The China International Import Expo continues to cement its status as the global launchpad for new products, technologies and services, attracting a growing number of companies eager to capitalize on the immense potential of the Chinese market and grow a global network of collaborative partners.
A total of 3,496 exhibitors from 129 countries and regions participate in the 7th CIIE, with more countries or regions and companies than the previous edition.

297 Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders have signed up to participate in the exhibition, setting a new historical high. 186 companies and institutions have participated in the exhibition for seven consecutive years.
The food and agricultural product exhibition hall, which is the largest of the exhibition venues, gathers delicious food from around the world.
Wu Kunyang, Head of Africa Hill Biological Exhibition Hall, was quoted that the plants in Africa are their highlight this time. They have brought baobab, shea, and coffee in a bid to make everyone experience the unique charm of Africa without going there.
At this year's CIIE, the Jiangsu delegation consists of over 9,100 exhibitors and nearly 40,000 businesspersons, ranking among the top in the country in terms of quantity. For the first time, the Jiangsu delegation has set up a special area for trendy domestic products and debut exhibitions in the Jiangsu Cultural Exchange Exhibition Area, attracting buyers, investors, and partners from around the world.
According to Wu Shuang, designer of Jiangsu Cultural Exchange Activity Exhibition Project, this year, a batch of "fashionable, high-quality, trendy, and debut" new products were collected throughout the province. Three categories of science and technology, cultural and creative industries, and pharmaceuticals were set up to showcase Jiangsu's domestic trendy products and new momentum.
