With the Spring Festival holiday just around the corner, many are planning to dive into the world of ice and snow or explore the great outdoors. As the craze for ice and snow activities sweeps across China, southern residents no longer need to travel to iconic destinations like Harbin, Altay, or Zhangjiakou.

In Jiangsu, the opportunity to experience ice and snow sports is now closer than ever. For the holiday season, the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Sports has recommended five ice and snow venues across the province, perfect for winter fun.

Nanjing World Ice Arena

Located on the 4th floor of Hall A at Nanjing mixc in Qixia District, this 1,456-square-meter icerink hosts regular figure skating and ice hockey competitions. Visitors can enjoy unique activities like ice graffiti, snowball fights, curling, and fun ice sports games.

The rink boasts a coaching team made up of national and provincial athletes, as well as ISI-certified professionals, providing expert training in figure skating and ice hockey.

Nanjing Olympic Sports Center Ice Sports Club

This 1,800-square-meter ice rink features a viewing area on the second floor that accommodates 500 spectators. The club also houses a well-stocked ice sports shop and a cozy lounge, creating a comfortable "one-stop" experience.

The club offers lessons in skating, figure skating, ice hockey, and off-ice curling, taught by former national team athletes with extensive teaching and competition experience.

Wuxi Bonski

As Wuxi's only indoor ski arena featuring real ice and snow, Bonski is located on the second floor of Sunac Mall in Binhu District. Spanning 17,500 square meters and maintained at a constant -6°C year-round, the park offers full equipment rental, making it suitable for all ages.

The park includes a 5,600-square-meter snow play area and gentle slopes for young children. The 138-meter-long, 35-meter-wide primary slope(13°) is ideal for beginners and intermediate enthusiasts.

Xuzhou Napaxigu Ski Resort

Nestled in Hanwang Town, Tongshan District, Napaxigu Ski Resort offers a 35,000-square-meter skiing area with 520 meters of total slopes. It features a 330-meter beginner slope, a 520-meter intermediate slope, and five tubing lanes.

Exciting upgrades are planned for 2025, including the addition of a 600-meter advanced slope, a 1,000-meter snowboard-only trail, and a 20,000-square-meter snow play area, expanding the resort to a total area of 100,000 square meters.

Xuzhou Garden Expo Park Ski Resort

This 200,000-square-meter ski resort is built into the hills, offering stunning scenery and convenient access. The 400-meter-long, 80-meter-wide slope can accommodate up to 4,000 visitors daily.

The resort is adjacent to the Hentique Hot Spring Resort Hotel, combining the thrill of skiing with the soothing relaxation of natural hot springs.
