2025 "Experiencing China" 2nd Jiangsu Province and 1st Yangtze River Delta Foreign Postgraduate Research Symposium held at Jiangsu University

Hosted by the China Scholarship Council and organized by the Jiangsu Association for International Education and Jiangsu University, the 2025 “Experiencing China” 2nd Jiangsu Province and 1st Yangtze River Delta Foreign Postgraduate Research Symposium was successfully held at Jiangsu University from October 25 to 26, 2025.

The event brought together over 400 Chinese and international postgraduate students and teachers from 55 universities across the municipality of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Li Yanguang, Director of the International Student Administration Division of the China Scholarship Council, and Mr. Jiao Wei, Deputy Director-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. Representatives from the education authorities and international education associations of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces were also in attendance.
Three thematic sub-forums were held in Science, Engineering & Agriculture, Biology & Medicine and Literature, Law, Economics & Management. A total of 143 international postgraduates presented their research papers and participated in academic discussions, while experts provided detailed comments and suggestions. The event also included a poster presentation session with 133 posters on display, which were reviewed and scored by experts based on research content and innovation.

Professors from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Soochow University, and Jiangsu University presented on academic integrity, the role of AI in research, and how studying abroad supports future career success, respectively.



The symposium also featured “A Shared Journey with China – An International Young Scholars Forum”, where international postgraduates shared their research, cross-cultural experiences, and future plans. They discussed the relevance of their work to China’s key development areas and reflected on their experiences and cultural discoveries while studying in China.

Eight international postgraduate representatives were selected from the sub-forums to present their research at the plenary session, where experts provided professional feedback and guidance.


The symposium concluded with an award ceremony recognizing academic excellence. Honors included the Best Presenter Award, Paper Presentation Award-Outstanding Prize, First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize, Best Organization Award, and Excellent Organization Award.
