Three companies from Suzhou New District listed as 2024 Green Factories
Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced the 2024 Green Manufacturing List, with three companies from Suzhou New District—Siemens Electrical Apparatus Ltd., Suzhou, Suzhou Lexy Electric Co., Ltd., and ICHIA Electronics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.—being recognized as green factories. This achievement highlights the district's exceptional capabilities in green development and injects sustainable momentum into its high-quality growth.
Green manufacturing emphasizes low consumption, low emissions, high efficiency, and high benefits. A "green factory" is a core unit of this system, focusing on intensive land use, harmless raw materials, clean production processes, waste resource utilization, and low-carbon energy. These factories are pivotal to advancing China's industrial transformation and upgrading.
Suzhou Lexy Electric Co., Ltd.
A leader in high-speed motors, green smart appliances, and garden tools, Lexy Electric prioritizes green and sustainable development. The company integrates energy-saving and low-carbon production practices, fosters ecological supply chain collaboration, and champions green research and production. Lexy has implemented photovoltaic power generation and an energy management platform, significantly reducing energy consumption and emissions. Its 15MW solar panel system supplies over 15% of the company's energy, cutting carbon dioxide emissions by 12,425 tons annually. Recognized as an eco-design pioneer in 2015, Lexy continues to lead in industrial product green design.

Siemens Electrical Apparatus Ltd., Suzhou
Established in 1994, Siemens specializes in circuit breakers and switches for critical infrastructure and power security. The company adopts Siemens China's "Zero Carbon Pioneer" initiative, incorporating green design, sustainable procurement, and energy-efficient production. Its rooftop photovoltaic system supplies clean energy to the grid and reduces CO2 emissions by over 1,000 tons annually.
ICHIA Electronics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.
Specializing in automotive electronic components, ICHIA Electronics has become a global supplier through innovative technologies. The company utilizes solar power for 5% of its energy needs and purchases green energy for another 20%. Its water recycling system conserves over 300,000 tons of water annually. By optimizing waste treatment facilities, ICHIA reinforces its commitment to green practices.
Suzhou New District actively supports green development through policies, funding, and technical services, fostering industrial transformation and sustainable growth. Moving forward, the district aims to elevate its green manufacturing capabilities and drive regional high-quality development.
