Jiangsu reports steady industrial production growth in July
East China's Jiangsu province recorded a year-on-year increase of 6.2% in the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size, with nearly 70% of the industries achieving growth, the Provincial Bureau of Statistics said recently.

In July, 27 out of 40 major industries in Jiangsu recorded a year-on-year increase in added value. Jiangsu recorded a year-on-year increase of 8.1% in the added value of equipment manufacturing industry above designated size, which is 1.9 percentage points higher than that of all industries above designated size, and contributed 70.5% to the growth of production in all industries above designated size.
Eight industries in the equipment manufacturing industry maintained growth, while the electronics, railway, shipbuilding, and aerospace industries maintained double-digit growth for seven consecutive months. From January to July, the added value of the equipment manufacturing industry accounted for 55% of all the industries above designated size, an increase of 0.7 percentage points from 2024.
In July, Jiangsu recorded an 11.6% increase in the added value of high-tech manufacturing and an 8.7% increase in the manufacturing of digital core products, 5.4 and 2.5 percentage points higher than the average level of all industries above designated size.
In the meantime, the province reported double-digit growth in the production of products such as fiber optic cables and lithium-ion batteries, electronic devices, medical equipment and devices, industrial control computers and systems, and integrated circuits, indicating that Jiangsu has achieved significant results in accelerating the cultivation and growth of new driving forces.
