Jiangsu releases AI plus Action Roadmap
According to the Action Plan, Jiangsu will launch seven key actions, including "Artificial Intelligence plus" scientific research, "Artificial Intelligence plus" industrial upgrading, and "Artificial Intelligence plus" emerging industries, plan a development path with Jiangsu's characteristics according to local conditions, highlight forward-looking layout and ecological construction, promote the optimization of core elements including computing power, data, algorithms, and scenarios, and build an "Artificial Intelligence plus" ecosystem that is intelligent, native, open and collaborative.
Cai Jianfeng, deputy director of the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission, explained that by fully implementing the six key areas of scientific research, industrial development, consumption improvement, livelihood services, social governance, and external cooperation set out in national documents, Jiangsu had added “artificial intelligence+” emerging industries as a key area, hoping to seize strategic emerging industries and future industrial new tracks such as humanoid robots, low-altitude economy, intelligent driving, biomedicine, and new energy, and cultivate new driving forces for the innovative development of artificial intelligence.

By implementing the Action Plan, Jiangsu will promote the use of artificial intelligence to serve thousands of industries, businesses, and households so as to empower high-quality development, high-quality living, and efficient governance.
Jiangsu will integrate artificial intelligence algorithms and vertical large-scale model technology into key areas such as semiconductors, biomedicine, and high-end equipment for basic research and key technology transformation. Priority will be given to promoting the universal application of artificial intelligence products and services in the fields of education, employment, health, and elderly care.

The policy of promoting “artificial intelligence+” had effectively facilitated the comprehensive integration of AI technology with the real economy, especially in the manufacturing industry, so as to improve the speed and quality of product research and development, Chen Daiyao from the Project Department of Yuwell Medical Technology noted.
According to the Action Plan, by 2027, Jiangsu will take the lead in achieving extensive and deep integration of artificial intelligence by ensuring a penetration rate of over 70% for applications including the new generation of intelligent terminals and agents. By 2030, Jiangsu will record an annual scale of over one trillion yuan in the artificial intelligence industry. By 2035, Jiangsu will become a leading innovation hub for "artificial intelligence+" in China, a new highland for industries, and a leading area for integrated applications.
