Jiangsu enhances digitalization of manufacturing industry

Since the 14th Five Year Plan, Jiangsu has comprehensively promoted the integration of digital and real economy construction, taking the lead in the country in deploying intelligent transformation, digital upgrading and cyber connectivity of the manufacturing industry and completing the first round of three-year action plan as scheduled by providing free diagnosis for 61000 enterprises, creating 2 national leading intelligent factories, 67 excellent intelligent workers, and 301 5G factories.

At the same time, Jiangsu has identified 1808 advanced level intelligent factories in the province with five prefecture level cities including Nanjing, Wuxi, and Suzhou selected as pilot cities for digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in China.

In 2025, Jiangsu launched a new round of three-year action plans for intelligent transformation, digital upgrading, and cyber connectivity by accelerating the empowerment of new industrialization with artificial intelligence, cultivating intelligent factories on a large scale, and holding 12 activities to empower new industrialization with artificial intelligence, which led to the addition of 2 national leading intelligent factories, 43 excellent intelligent factories, and 91 5G factories in the province.

Xuzhou and Nantong have been selected as the third batch of national pilot cities for digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, and Suzhou has been approved to build a national pilot base for artificial intelligence applications.
