Jiangsu introduces 12 measures to support development of OPC

The Jiangsu Provincial Administration for Market Regulation has issued 12 measures to support and serve the development of One Person Company or OPC in a bid to accelerate the development of new quality productivity and promote innovative development of the digital economy.

One Person Company is a new form of entrepreneurship in which individuals independently complete the entire chain from product design and development to market launch with the support of artificial intelligence collaboration.

The 12 measures cover the entire chain of OPC establishment, standards, technical support, marketing, and intellectual property protection. Jiangsu will establish an "OPC Entrepreneurship Service Zone" to provide "one-stop acceptance and one-stop service" for registration, bank account opening, tax registration, and other matters for newly established OPC enterprises and pilot AI-assisted autonomous name declaration and standardized adaptation of business scope.

Many OPC companies introduce digital human technology in their daily operations. In response to potential risks, Jiangsu will establish an OPC enterprise contact point system for digital live streaming, formulate and publish compliance guidelines for digital live streaming, and help OPC enterprises prevent marketing risks associated with digital live streaming.

In terms of service support, Jiangsu will encourage the construction of "one-stop" service stations for quality infrastructure in OPC aggregation areas, and guide relevant inspection and testing institutions to open OPC testing and certification green channels. In the meantime, Jiangsu will explore incorporating intangible assets such as OPC entrepreneurs' digital works, software copyrights, and platform transaction records into credit evaluation models to strengthen intellectual property protection.
